<a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/podcasts\/\">Podcast<\/a><\/strong> has lost <a data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/british-airways\/\">British Airways<\/a> as a sponsor after the journalist interviewed one half of the band Bob Vylan, who caused controversy at Glastonbury.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/06\/30\/bob-vylan-idf-controversy-say-glastonbury-23539713\/\">outspoken punk duo<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/07\/03\/bbc-admits-bob-vylan-deemed-high-risk-glastonbury-controversy-23569865\/\">sparked controversy when they led chants<\/a> of \u2018death, death to the IDF (<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/israel\/\">Israel<\/a> Defence Forces)\u2019 at the Worthy Farm Festival.<\/p>\n<p>This led to major outcry and a police investigation \u2013 which has since been dropped \u2013 after the BBC broadcast the moment live.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking earlier this month on <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/louis-theroux\/\">Louis Theroux’s<\/a> podcast in his first interview since Glastonbury, Vylan, whose real name is Pascal Robinson-Foster, said he is<a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/10\/21\/bob-vylan-brands-90s-rockstars-response-glastonbury-set-disgusting-24481504\/\"> \u2018not regretful\u2019 of his Glastonbury chant<\/a> and would \u2018do it again tomorrow\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>It has now been revealed that following this interview, the airline has ‘paused’ its advertising on the podcast, as it ‘breaches’ its sponsorship policy.<\/p>\n<p>A I hadn\u2019t seen it. Because obviously there was a lot happening at the time. Do you know what I mean?<\/p>\n<p>\u2018It wasn\u2019t like we came off stage, and everybody was like (gasps). It\u2019s just normal. We come off stage. It\u2019s normal. Nobody thought anything. Nobody. Even staff at the BBC were like \u201cThat was fantastic! It\u2019s minimal.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018It\u2019s minimal compared to what people in <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/palestine\/\">Palestine<\/a> are going through. If that can be my contribution and if I can have my Palestinian friends and people that I meet from Palestine, that have had to flee, that have lost members in double digits of their family and they can say, yo, your chant, I love it. Or it gave me a breath of fresh air or whatever.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018And I don\u2019t want to overstate the importance of the chant. That\u2019s not what I\u2019m trying to do, but if I have their support, they\u2019re the people that I\u2019m doing it for, they\u2019re the people that I\u2019m being vocal for, then what is there to regret.
